There is a little metal notch on the left that reads V X M as well. being a pro digital tog is so not cool, lol.

Thanks for not laughing so hard at my newbie self :-P. i read mine last night after getting my two hassies last night and i'm up to speed on the camera. turn the knob on the right and all should be well. the camera must be cocked to raise the mirror to allow you to look through the finder. um, shouldn't the sutter be open quite a bit when i have it set to 2.8? just looking through it now, and it doesnt seem to have changed! not only that, but the WLF is still showing nothing but a big white blur :-Sĭownload the manual.

Pulling the tab by the Orange Triangle Mark towards the camera disengages the Aperture ring from the Shutter ring.

If not, there could be an issue with the lens! :( Press and Push in the Metal tab toward the lower numbers, it should move quite easily. See the Metal Tab next to the Orange Triangle (Currently pointing at EV18) would be the button you press and move to change Apreture and Shutter settings :) Yes the back inner ring I gathered was for focusing and that I can move, however the other (for shutter and aperture) is "locked" and I found a little metal type notch on the side which pushes inward but still wont rotate the outer ring! The back, bigger, inner ring is for focusing. When you want to change one OR the other you have to hold in a tab (i think on the right as you look down), then the two rings can be changed independently! There will be a mark as you look at the top of the lens, probably red.Īs you turn outer ring you will change both the aperture and the shutter speed at the same time (keeping the same exposure) I have used lenses on my Mamiya just fine! But this is driving me nuts!ĭoes anybody have a link to a pdf instruction manual, or perhaps could just tell me what to do for adjusting aperture, etc :-)? There are so many notches and screws on it that I am lost :-S have just acquired my lovely new Hassie 500c/m and with it is an 80mm 2.8 T* Zeiss Planar lens.īut honestly I CANNOT figure out how to adjust the aperture, etc?! Okay, very silly question (but genuine!).
